T5W 2018 Reading Resolutions
T5W (Top 5 Wednesday) is a Goodreads group. Each week there are topics to discuss. This week the topic is to discuss our Reading Resolutions.
So here are my Top 5 Reading Resolutions for 2018
5. Reread more
I have so many books that I have loved in years past and I want to make an effort to reread some of my old favorites and see how they stand against the test of time.
4. Be a more critical reader.
Reading is what I do to relax. I love that books can take me out of this world and help me to deal with my anxious thoughts. In 2018 I am hoping to become more critical and think about the books I am reading in a way that I can make more informed reviews.
3. Read from different genres.
I think as readers we all have those certain genres that we lean to when picking out our next read. For me those are Historical Fiction and Fantasy. I want to branch out in the year 2018 and try reading something from every genre. I am hoping that my Popsugar Challenge will hep me with this.
2. Keep track of the diversity of the books I am reading.
I don't really pay attention to the diversity of the authors I am reading which isn't really a big deal but I feel like I lean towards authors who write about characters who are like me more often than not. I want to try and keep track of the gender and race of the authors I am reading and see how diverse the characters in their stories are. ( Hopefully this makes sense. In my head it does)
1. Read at least 20 mins everyday.
This is something that I normally accomplish but I want to keep better track of if I am actually reading everyday. I am going to be using the Bookout app to help me complete this goal.
What are some of your Reading Resolutions for 2018. Lets talk in the comments.
Love always,
Missy
