January TBR

Well it is Jan 3, 2018 and I wanted to share with you the books I hope to complete this month. I am participating in a few buddy reads this month and I will link either their YouTube or Instagram information below the titles that I am reading with them.

So lets get into the books I am hoping to read this month.

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

I will be reading this with Merphy Napier and I am super excited to be reading this with her this month.

Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

This is one of the picks for Everyone Has Read This but Me Group on Goodreads.

Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie

This is also a book that the Everyone Has Read This but Me Group is reading that I have not read.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

I have read this one before but I have been wanting to reread it for some time now and since the Everyone Has Read This but Me Group is reading it I thought it might be fun to reread it and join in the discussions in the group.

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

This is a book I started back in December but I would like to finish in January.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling

I have been wanting to reread this series for a while and I found this lovely lady named Erin on Facebook in one of the book groups I am in on there and we decided that we would buddy read some series that we have been wanting to reread together and Harry Potter is the first one we chose to reread together

As I read these I hope to make reviews for each of them to let you know my thoughts. Hope you all are having a great new year.

T5W Books You Didn't Get to In 2017

T5W is a Goodreads group where we discuss a new bookish topic each week. This weeks topic is Books You Didn't Get to in 2017. 5.  American War by Omar El Akkad 2074 the Second American Civil war breaks out and our main character Sarat Chestnut who live in Louisiana which is mostly underwater are forced into Camp Patience  for displaced persons, she quickly begins to be shaped by her particular time and place until, finally, through the influence of a mysterious functionary, she is turned into a deadly instrument of war. I found this book in the recommendations on Goodreads and thought it sounded really interesting I just haven't read it yet I hope to read it in 2018. 4. Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood  This is the story of Grace Marks who is accused of killing the man she worked for and his housemaid. T5W  (Top 5 Wednesday) is a Goodreads group. Each week there are topics to discuss. This week the topic is to discuss our Forgettable Books. Here are my Top 5 Most Forgettable Books For this topic I am going to be discussing books that I loved but I don't remember anything about them. 5. Zodiac by Romina Russell I remember that this book has something to do with the zodiac sign and there is space ships but other than that I don't really remember much about it. I remember loving it when I was reading it though so I think a theme we are going to see here is that these are books I need to reread. 4.
