Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Harry Potter is by far one of my favorite series of all time. I decided that this year I wanted to reread some of my favorite books as well as do more buddy reads. I buddy read this book with Erin.
I have enjoyed rereading a favorite with a new friend.
So we all know what Harry Potter is about right? Well if not Harry Potter is an 11 year old boy who finds out that he is a wizard and gets to go to a school called Hogwarts. This is the first book of the series so like many first books we are introduced to all kinds of new characters and through out Harry's first year at Hogwarts he meets his two best friends named Hermione and Ron.
This book is so AMAZING!

One of the things that I love so much about this book is that when I was 11 years old my dad read me this first book and I will always have fond memories of my dad reading it to me. I also love how magical this world is.
Something that always surprises me when I am reading this series over again is how many things that were actually changed for the movie version. I had forgotten how much more of a main character Neville is in the book. I also wish that Peeves were in the movies which he isn't and I love Peeves even though he is a bit of a pain sometimes and cause a bunch of trouble I still would have loved to seem him in the movie adaptations. Last change I want to talk about was Snape's potions test that wasn't in the movie. I had forgotten all about that part of the test to get to the Sorcerer's Stone.
I have nothing bad to say about this book because I love it so much. I can not wait to continue rereading this series this year.
Come talk to me in the comments if you love this series or if you don't lets discuss what it is that you don't like about this series.
Love always,
Missy
